HEIC to JPG Converter
Choose or drop your HEIC photos to get started.
From an iPhone, iPad or any camera that saves HEIC
The conversion code is fetched once from jsDelivr, a public code host, when you add your first photo. Your photos never leave your device, and the converted files carry no camera or location data.
How to convert HEIC photos
- Choose your HEIC or HEIF photos, or drop them onto the page. You can add several at once.
- Pick JPG or PNG. For JPG, set the quality: 90% looks the same as the original in a much smaller file.
- Download each photo, or press Download all.
If you change the format or the quality after adding photos, they are converted again with the new setting.
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the format iPhones and iPads save photos in by default. It keeps good quality in a small file, but plenty of places still cannot open it: Windows without an extra add-on, many websites and upload forms, booking systems, printing services and older photo software. Converting to JPG gives you a file that opens everywhere.
JPG or PNG?
JPG is the right choice for almost every photo. The files are small and every device and website accepts them. PNG is lossless, so the files are much larger; it is only worth choosing when something asks for PNG specifically.
Good to know
Many online converters upload your photos to their servers. This one works in your browser, so your photos stay on your own device. Converted files carry no camera details or GPS location, so a photo taken at home will not give away where you live. If your iPhone saves HEIC and you would rather it saved JPG from now on, choose Most Compatible under Settings, Camera, Formats. A Live Photo converts to its still picture.
