VSL Media uses privacy-conscious website analytics to understand aggregated traffic, popular pages, referring sites and website performance. Our current analytics service is Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, local storage or similar client-side identifiers for analytics, and it does not fingerprint or track individual visitors. Because the current analytics setup does not store information on, or retrieve information from, your device, it does not require an analytics-cookie choice.

Essential technology

The hosting, security or content-delivery provider may use strictly necessary technologies to deliver pages, balance traffic, prevent abuse, diagnose faults or protect the service. These are used only where required for the service or its security.

Analytics details

• Provider: Cloudflare Web Analytics.
• Purpose: aggregated page-use and performance statistics used to understand and improve the website.
• Client-side storage: no analytics cookies, local storage or similar persistent identifiers.
• Individual tracking: no analytics visitor profiles, cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising.
• Retention: Cloudflare states that unsampled data is retained for seven days, after which reporting uses aggregated and sampled information; dashboard reporting is available for up to six months.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on a device. Similar technologies can store or access information in other ways. Some are necessary for a requested online service; others, including many conventional analytics and advertising technologies, require an appropriate choice or consent.

If our analytics changes

If VSL Media introduces analytics, advertising, embedded media, live chat or another feature that stores or accesses non-essential information on your device, we will update this notice and introduce any required consent or objection controls before activating that technology. We will not quietly repurpose analytics information for advertising or individual profiling.
